From an indigenous group in Aponte near the town of Buesaco. The people of Aponte are Inga, a pre-Colombian ethnic group related to the Incas. Aponte is in a misty paramó region around 1900 MASL. Honey processing is standard for the area and is done on the individual farms.

Cupping Notes:

  • Dry Grounds: Floral, berry, cocoa.
  • Wet Grounds: Cocoa, brown sugar, berry.
  • In the Cup: Sweet brown sugar, cocoa, caramel, and gentle fruit.
  • Mouthfeel: Sweet, round, and full.
  • Finish: Gently lingering, creamy, and smooth.
  • Varietal: Caturra, Veridad Colombia, Typica.
